The ByLaws Amendments Draft has been completed and sent to the Steering Committee.

An email today from the chair of the Steering Committee reads: ''I am in receipt of the draft document compiled by the committee. To that end, it is my opinion that the Committee's charge has been met. Therefore I am concluding the Committee's charge and your committee service.''

********

The bylaws amendments draft is now available at the Circle C information center, in the hands of members of the Board of Directors and members of the Steering Committee. I suggest all members of the Association read this draft and be prepared for the town hall meeting and discussion. Your input is vital to the Association.

The members of the ad hoc committee worked hard trying to cover your concerns and issues. Since the committee has been released of further responsibility in working on the final amendments, the homeowners need to stay involved. Below are the current documents that govern amending the CCHOA Bylaws.

Article VIII of the Articles of Incorporation ''The initial bylaws of the corporation shall be adopted by its Board of Directors. The power to alter, amend or repeal the bylaws or to adopt new bylaws shall be vested in the members, but such power may be delegated by the members to the Board of Directors.''

Article XII, Section 1 of the Bylaws: ''These By-Laws may be amended, at a regular or special meeting of the members, by a vote of a majority of a quorum of members present or by proxy, except that if there is a valid FHA or VA Letter of Approval in effect, the Federal Housing Administration or the Veterans Administration, as applicable, shall have the right to veto amendments while there is Class B membership.''

Time to go public (again)

Sound like the same old bag of dirty tricks.

Lets get the By-Laws updates posted for everyone to see and pass them around. It's time we called a Special Meeting of the member and consider what were are going to do about our CCHOA Board of Directors.

Then can chose to ignore just about any committee report that the want to, except the BY-LAWS. The board does not control the bylaws, the member do.

Thanks for your hard work, Cynthia and Chris. I don't know who else was on the committee - it was kept secret for no good reason. Secrecy is for puppet goverments in third world countries and sneeky corporations. It's dispicable in an HOA organization.

Lets clean house.

Disclosure

The draft needs to be disclosed. I called the info center today to request a copy and was informed that the draft would not be released until the BOD has had a chance to review it and decide which suggested revisions should be implemented. We should also be able to see what, if anything, they choose NOT to implement, as well. No?

meeting by-laws draft

So who is going to call the meeting? I can call Kiker and ask for a meeting time and date. It can be advertised to all on the email list. Why does the BOD have to be present? We as members can view the draft of the by-laws and accept the changes WE DON?’T NEED THE BOD TO ACHIEVE THIS POWER. Call me cbc 301 3840
