I've been unable to get DSL service out here and can't get an explaination. I use the cable modem and most of the time it's OK, but not real fast. It gets bogged down a lot, and recently, RoadRunner's email servers got compromised by a virus attack (apparenlty they don't run a Unix server).

I'm just asking if any of you use DSL or know of anyone using it in Circle C Ranch. I've used both for years, but in the end, the DSL was a better choice, and now, of course, it (SBC Yahoo) only costs half as much as the cable modem service (RoadRunner).

we are out of range

The limiting fact with DSL is that you cannot be more than 18,000 feet from a telephone switching office. Circle c must be too far away. DSL is usually slower than cable. But is is always the same. As opposed to cable which is a ''shared'' line and slows down when all your neighbors get on.
