Whose $1,000 really?

On the Web site of Circle C Child Development Center, it states that ?“Every home builder contracts to donate $1,000 to the Circle C Child Development Center escrow fund upon the closing of a new home.?”

Do you really believe that builders would ?“donate?” $1,000 per house from their bottom line? No, I don?’t believe that. This was the amount charged to every home indirectly through the builders. In other words, if the Developer did not force the builders to donate this $1,000 per home, our houses would be $1,000 cheaper.

This $1,000 was our hard-earned money.

40% Cheaper Than For-profit???

On the Web site of CDC, it states that ?“Our tuition is over 40% below the price of comparable programs in for-profit tutoring centers.?”

How true is the above statement?

Lisa,

I don't know when this happened, but at some point 1.5 to 3 years ago the developers upcharge of $1,000 per home went from the CDC to the new pool. So, I know it's not $1,000 x 3,000 homes.

The problem that we have here is still the same.... How can a nonprofit, that was also subsidized with large amounts of money, be one of the most expensive day care centers in South Austin?

The CDC was 40% cheaper about 3-4 years ago. The website must be outdated. There was two 20% increases - two years in a row. Last year and the year before. I do not know if there was or will be another increase this year.

Any resident of Texas had the right to look at any nonprofit books and records. If I was rich, I'd hire a professional to go through those books. Bradley is the only BOD. His record of not paying the us the taxpayers/Uncle Sam - 73 million doesn't put him in the ''cub scout'' category.

To Sal

Sal,

Do you think Gary Bradley would cooperate with you and let you gain access to his CDC books even though you can afford to hire an auditor?

Auditing a suspicious NONPROFIT organization is part of the investigation job of the Internal Revenue Service. We, citizens, only have to gather some evidence and raise enough doubts to convince the IRS that there is a case here, and then let the authorities handle the rest.

If I would ever report this nonprofit child development center to the IRS, I would attach a copy of www.makegarypay.org to show the IRS whether Gary Bradley is the kind of persons who would run a nonprofit business.

By the way, do you know who owns this CDC? I don't think it belongs to CCHOA.
