Trash 2XPer Week Come on!

You have me all wrong!

Lisa,
You have me all wrong. I am a big supporter of you efforts. I just think its a big waste of money to see the trash truck drive around on Thursdays and only about one in ten put trash out!

Get the bids and see

Robb

This seems like a perfectly reasonable line of inquiry. What would the savings be to each of us if trash pickup were limited to once a week like the rest of Austin?

The answer to your question might be in the books and records of the CCHOA. Steve Sackmary headed up the committee which took the bids that resulted in the change to BFI. The details of the bids should be at the CCHOA offices along with all the other CCHOA books and records. I don't know if that option was even pursued, but it would be worth a look. Or you could ask Mr. Sackmary.

While you are checking, why don't you see how long the contract with BFI is for and let us all know. Thanks.
Free Services

You, brilliant Lisa and your Einstein ''somebody'' need to band together and get all of us in Circle C ''free'' trash service. While you are at it, get us free water and electricity too! The city's ''FREE'' service includes a $15 initial setup fee, and $11 to $15 per month based on the size of the can you choose for ONCE a week pickup plus another fee for excesses outside the can. It's shown as a line item on CoA residents' water bills as waste services. This item is NOT on your water bill since Circle C contracts seperately for more services at a lower rate. Do your homework before you reveal your knowledge or lack thereof.

Poll the members

If CCHOA should be putting questions like this to the members, through an inexpensive and accurate web site poll.

All the news web sites run multiple, on-going polls all the time. Not only that, they let you see the current results after you vote your opinion. This is how a democracy is supposed to work. Circle C Ranch should be the model of instant access - our web site should be the one every HOA in the country uses to compare their own.

Thanks, Robb. Question everything!
