Proposed rules for erosion control have just been released (see minutes for July meeting). Do you support the key components such as more and better enforcement, tighter standards that are perfomance based and consolidated rules management (1 Bureau instead of 4)?

Tom... The answer to the question is clearly yes... The rejoinder has to be... at what cost? It kinda looks to me like the new bureau wants to see how little public involvement it can get away with. Sure, they need a bit of education with respect to the advantages of playing the public involvement game, and they'll likely come around. The catch is that we don't appear to have their attention and getting it might require more than a bit of muscle... unless I intirely misread the presentation at the last city-wide meeting.
