City of Spring Valley

SPRING VALLEY GOVERNMENT

Spring Valley has a Commission form of government comprised of five elected members – a Mayor and four Commissioners – and two appointed officials – a City Clerk and a Treasurer.  The Commissioners serve two-year terms, and the Mayor serves for four years.

The Commission meets at the Springdale Presbyterian Church on Brownsboro Road at 7:30PM on the first Monday of each month.  All residents are encouraged to attend!  If you have an issue for Commission consideration during its meeting, please contact the Mayor to request that it be included on the meeting agenda (by noon on the Friday preceding the meeting).

Our City Government is an ideal form of government.  Members of the city serve free-of-charge and provide exceptional services tailored to the needs or residents at minimal tax cost.  The viability of our City’s continued existence depends upon this type of civic involvement.  Volunteers are welcome and should contact the Mayor if they are interested in serving.
