City of Spring Valley

Several members of another website (Springvalleyky.nextdoor.com) have requested having an informal neighborhood yard sale on April 23 (Thunder!!) from 8-12.  One of our neighbors has volunteered to obtain FREE-STANDING signs, and Norton Elementary is having a school yardsale the same day and has offered to "share" their Courier Journal ad with us. I volunteered to put on Craigslist and another yardsale website that one of our Barbourmeade neighbors suggested.  Is open to anyone with "treasures" to sell! I'm trying to direct our Spring Valley neighbors to this website so we will be more cohesive, but wanted to notify all who are on this website, too.  Greg Wakeling, another city commissioner, will be sending out a notice to all of us about the large item pickup on April 25, and I am going to call Cedar Lake Lodge, so if you really don't want to drag your items back in, they can either be hauled off or donated. We did it in our old neighborhood (Graymoor-Devondale), and was a fun day...even the kids got involved! (usually by selling water/soft drinks).
