Attention artists, craftspeople, community programs and food vendors!
Do you live or work near City Park? Does your community program target any City Park neighborhood?
We are looking for artists, food vendors and community programs from City Park West, Whittier, North City Park, Park Hill, Belleview-Hale, Congress Park, Uptown on the Hill, Capitol Hill and San Raphael to participate in the 2003 City Park Festival of the Arts.
All sale items must be hand-made and sold by the artist, and all participants must live or work with-in 2 miles of City Park. Booth fees for exhibitors are only $30, space is free for community programs.
The City Park Festival of the Arts was started in 2001 as the City Park West Festival of the Arts in an attempt to encourage participation in our community and to showcase the talent in our neighborhood. Attendance was 1500 with 30 artists and 9 bands. In 2002, we enlisted the cooperation and support of neighbors around City Park and drew a crowd of approximately 5000 people with 60 artists, 28 sets of music, dance, poetry, martial arts, comedy and history on two stages. Our children's area included clowns, face-painters, balloon-sculptors, jugglers, life size puppets, stilt-walkers, five interactive classes, the Museum of Nature and Science and a student art exhibition of over 200 pieces.
In 2002 our funding came from a combination of grants, donations and sponsorship from 60 local businesses. We are not a fundraiser, and all resources go directly to sustaining this entertaining, educational, inspiring and exciting community event.

Looking forward to a fantastic 2003 City Park Festival of the Arts,
