does any one know why the trees where cut down on the entrance island? it really looks bad now

Trees on the island

The trees on the island that were removed had some damage and there was concern that they could come down during a storm.

This was discussed at the November meeting of the civic association. There is a plan in place to hopefully have them replaced using a grant from the department of agriculture.

The civic association is also planning a neighborhood clean up in early spring. Anyone with a ''green thumb'' is encouraged to come out to assist with getting the island back in shape.
