So when somebody tells you we are paying the norm for our + other neighborhoods they are lying and I would like to know why.  People are having a hard time putting food on their tables -- this ridiculous fee is just completely outrageous.  Also, look at the way so many people ignore the rules but  hey that seems to be AOk.  Everybody on my block, except me, parks in the street.  Their trash cans are all out front.  Now i may be a bit slow, but seems like i recall that neither of these actions is permitted.  Hah!  This fee should not be any more than $100--then here is how it works--you work WITHIN YOUR BUDGET, but this seems to be a completely foreign idea to some people. You tell the grass cutter how much the neighborhood (which you are supposed to be representing) has for landscaping, cutting, whatever.  if he can't accommodate, you find somebody else.  We all want our neighborhood to look nice.  this is not accomplished by breaking our backs paying ridiculous prices while the entire time ignoring the breaking of rules, like the parking in the street, on the grass, trash cans out front, etc.  if my time was not fully spent already i would run for office; however, because i cannot do that doesn't mean i have to be satisfied with the way things are going.  year after year it gets worse.  is somebody sleeping and they don't realize we are in a bad state in our economy (even if it made any sense to pay such high amounts to begin with).  perhaps we will continue to be ignored until 65% of the community sells their homes -- to people who have never ever paid an association fee and have no intention of starting now.  people who will be perfectly happy to have a neighborhood that looks like Tobacco Road and don't even know what a "lien" is, much less being disturbed by one.  I know that our Officers are great people personally but they just are NOT GETTING IT or don't care.  they go their own way and the heck with what the community wants.

I have contacted the county twice now about abandoned vehicles taking up spots in the overflow parking.  They advised me to contact the association first to give them a chance to remove the vehicles or notify the owners.  I did that and no response.  I contacted the county for the second time and still nothing from the county or the association.  What is the next course of action.  If we are paying such high association fees, I think a response is a simple request.

And who is on the neighborhood watch?  There a people parking, smoking marijuana, and dumping their trash out their car windows.  I have called county police and they did come out and have the people move on, but I pick up trash and "blunt guts" every week at minimum.  I would like to join the neighborhood watch, but not sure who to contact.
