Dear Neighbor,
There have been several burglaries in our neighborhood recently, one in which the intruder was caught but calmly strolled out of the house to escape on Las Palmas Drive. The police have limited resources to respond to these crimes because of budget cutbacks in the City of Hollister.
I have asked San Benito County Supervisor Jaime De La Cruz to help me launch a free Neighborhood Watch Program in our neighborhood. We will be going door-to-door promoting the new web site and hosting meetings with the Hollister Police and other community groups on a regular basis.
I encourage you to join this new program and get to know your neighbors. Working together, we can reduce crime in our neighborhood and let the bad guys know they are being watched by a group of concerned citizens.
