This is a excerpt from an email I received.
The City is in the process of developing a master plan for the parks system. An important part of that process is obtain public comment about the parks system.
This plan will help guide decisions for the parks and recreation system over the next 10 years.
The plan will analyze how to best use existing resources to provide the best possible parks system given all of the various financial limitations.
It is important to get input from the community to learn what you would like to have in your parks and recreation facilities and programs. Your involvement will help to prioritize future projects. |
The dates and locations are as follows:
June 10th - Wadeview Community Center, 2177 S. Summerlin Avenue, at 6:30 P.M.
June 15th - Northlake Park Community School, 9055 Northlake Parkway, at 6:30 P.M.
June 17th - Dover Shores Community Center, 1400 Gaston Foster Road, at 6:30 P.M.
These meetings will all follow the same format. At each of these meetings, there will be brief presentations from the Parks Department. There will also be question, answer and comment time. Then you will be asked to take a survey about the City's current and future parks and recreation facilities.
You can attend any or all of these meetings. However, you will only be able to fill out one survey form. If you are unable to attend any of these meetings or, would just prefer not to attend a meeting, you can also take a survey on-line at http://www.cityoforlando.net/fpr/html/survey.asp .
Parks and ballfields are an important part of our quality of life in the city. Please attend one of these meetings or take the on-line survey.
If you have any specific questions about this plan or these meetings, contact Malisa Mccreedy, Planning Manager at 407.246.4317 or malisa.mccreedy@cityoforlando.net |
