The city does not send out street sweepers very often. We have to do it.
Please make sure there is no debris in the street in front of your house.
I ran thru some glass at Hopewell and Willow and found a roofing nail in my tire when I got home. Its up to us to keep our streets clean.

We also need to keep the gutters clear in front of houses because I have never seen the city clean those either.

mlgw fee for that

If you look on the back of your MLGW bill you will find a fee for storm water and one for rodent control.
I agree the city does not do its job and its up to the area neighbors to keep our streets and gutters clean AND to make sure our property is not inviting to any unwanted guests.
(rats, mice, raccoons, opossums...etc)
Sweep your sidewalk AND the street if the garbage men left a mess. Lets keep our streets clean and safe.

MLGW fee for nothing?

Why do we, as an association, not push MLGW to do what we, as utility customers, pay them to do? We admit that we're supposed to receive the service, but then we ask our members to do it themselves? Yes, I keep mine clean and so do my neighbors. However, this sends the wrong message, and makes our association appear to be very weak, all talk, and no action.
