The second house was at the corner of High and Main Street where the Peerless building, which now houses the Visitors Center and other agencies, is located. There is no record of when it was taken down but it was definitely gone by 1917.

As far as I know, Slater's second house stood, albeit altered and enlarged, until 1969 when it was torn down for the Peerless Building. It was an Adams Drug at the end.

Wow, interesting and we could have had a little village like Sturbridge AND PLYMOUTH, with the Staler Mill and Slater's house together to view.
