Dear Arthur and friends,

The Village Restaurant, an African American restaurant, opens Saturday, Jan. 3 at 10 a.m. at 200 Main St., the former site of Dunkin Donuts, south from the Visitors Center.

Coming from a church congregation where the Liberians and Sierra Leones love to cook extremely spicy foods, it is advisable for any customer to bring Tums.  By the way, African hosts often supply plenty of white rice and bread.   Use them.

Nevertheless, African spiced chicken and pork are marvelous.  I hope the restaurant does a decent business.

Peace,

Jim

They were terrific with selections at the Pawtucket Arts Festival so hopefully they will brighten up our food selections for downtown and all of Pawtucket. Kudos and welcome.

What a nice selection for us .... after dealing with all the political stuff in the city our tummies are ready for spicey food even without tums....we are hardened and are tough!
