PAWTUCKET - Prompted by concerns about jobs as well as the frequent bickering that has taken place among School Committee members, over 150 people packed last night's School Committee meeting at the School Administration building.

Can you believe the teachers and the school folks are running a lean machine?

Dear Jimmy,

From personal experience at Shea High School, school principals and administrators operate tightly.  Chalk and paper, among other school materials, are rationed in Pawtucket.  In addition, copying paper is being recycled for the year. After early April, teachers must supply their own copying paper.  For students, class trips prove lost for the year.

In essence, I believe teachers and school personnel are running an extremely lean machine.

I think most do, but I think the lack of transparency with the supt and administration have caused a lot of questions....that even the school committee does not get the answers....
