Love to have a nice restaurant there and perhaps with some buildings vacant, some might become parking lots or mini parks to enhance and liven the city up...it is dullsville The City already razed a bunch of buildings on Roosevelt Avenue to build a park and a parking lot next to Slater Mill in the 1960s, but that didn't exactly help that strecth to become teeming with economic activity. Better to get the vacant space renovated and leased. |

We sure need to do something downtown and some buildings might be best toppled so we can have some decent parking and shops around..Why does the school department hog all the spaces in the parking garage and the lots around? They could park somewhere else and get bussed to the building. I am sure they do not go out shopping or eat downtown, so let them release some of those spots for real people to come and stop and shop or eat. That new African Restaurant am sure must be doing a slow death with no parking and I understand no liquor license. |
