Dear Neighbors,

What were the most unusual Halloween handouts you ever heard about or ever experienced?  My nominee for the most unusual is a friend who bought the neighbor's children brand new toothbrushes.  A second nominee is from the late 1960's when a Pawtucket meat market owner handed bologna to neighborhood children.

Peace,

Ludlow1

Mine were but normal candies and I recall silver dollars given out at one special neighbor, and we generally are moved to the healthier  mini-pretzel bags as a nice and semi-healthy offering.

Costumes are cute but anything to see the kids excited can be pennies to candy packages./ I remember our kids excited when neighbors dressed up at the door to greet them

I remember huge apples and oranges years ago but am sure no one would trust them today
