How does Blodgett/Waltham become Woodlawn.  Isn't that part of Oakhill?

Borderline areas, but we are all Pawtucket

Borderline indeed, but the title of your post clearly points fingers at Woodlawn.  If a party was going on at Oakhill and Dryden (with visitors from the East Side) would you have concerns of intoxication and rioting?

I found your initial post offensive and tried in a subtle way to point out how offensive it was.  You say we are all Pawtucket, but I see your post as very devisive.  Not much for"neighborhood alliance".

I'd urge and welcome your removal of the post, and would not be offended if that meant my replies were also removed.

Thanks for your consideration.

1) A number of residents on Blodgett and Waltham would be surprised to discover that they are not classified as living in Oakhill, given that Capwell is just above Blodgett and Waltham connects to it, and Unity runs into Blodgett.

2) But we are curious to find out exactly what offends you:

The apparent car to car drug deals on Waltham we've witnessed in the past?

Tenants of absentee landlords on Waltham from time to time owning pitbulls?

Tenants of absentee landlords on Waltham sauntering into backyards of other homes and looking into basement windows?

Scores of young teenagers in the past having a party on Waltham, eventually overrunning the area, police called in to control the area and arresting some of the teenagers?

New tenants moving into an absentee landlord building on Waltham, screaming and cursing at each other on the street for an hour until eventually the police were called, and only then did they stop screaming (btw such screaming cursing arguments are not uncommon)?

Residents waking up on a Sunday morning after past parties on Waltham to find their parked cars dinged or fenders bashed in (and no one taking responsibility)?

In the most recent past, a neighbor observing a Waltham resident firing a revolver at a passing car?

We could go on with this list - but it is too depressing to do so.

3) Whether the area is deemed Oakhill or Woodlawn, it is a problem area.  And so, given its past, when there is a large party on Waltham, it is reasonable to be concerned.

4) You are right, Dryden and Oakhill do not have the problems Waltham does, so a large party in that area is probably less of a concern, although intoxicated guests driving off in their cars should be a concern for the public everywhere.
