Colonial Shores Homeowners: Look Here!

If you haven't already done so, please join the Pool & Tennis Club. Since 2009, the Big Ridge Pool and Tennis Club has been leased by the Colonial Shores Neighborhood Association and managed by a dedicated team of area residents. Full family membership for Colonial Shores residents is now only $295! As an added incentive, our annual neighborhood dues of $50 are included in this amount. That's right- one fee covers it all. What a bargain!

Opt-in or Opt-out:

It is a well-known fact that having a community recreation facility improves the property values of nearby residents. This is especially true for Colonial Shores homeowners. Most of us realize this vested interest (based on recent survey feedback), but unlike several other neighborhoods, nobody is required to join. Hopefully opt-outs will be the exception, but there is certainly an option to decline membership (see the membership form for additional details). Just remember- in the current real estate market, we all want every advantage when we go to sell or refinance our homes. So, join now- and avoid ever having to pay future joining fees by renewing your membership each year!

Not just a pool:

Last, but not least- the new operating plan calls for more emphasis on other social and recreational opportunities. A sub-committee is being formed with the exclusive purpose of leveraging the multiple benefits of running our own club facilities. There is already talk of tennis lessons, a playground for kids, a picnic area, and parties/activities in the clubhouse. Additional perks will be available for members who want to use the clubhouse for their own events! But broad support is key- so what are you waiting for?
