Ay my invitation, he is checking on addressing our board prior to the meeting, then I will see if he can stay for the general meeting for a few questions and answers.

Speeders
The Zanesville Country Club had a very similar situation of cut through traffic and tried to get the City Council to give residents only drive through rights. Of course this didn't fly with the Council but what they did do was install concrete barriers and stop signs every so many hundred feet to where the traffic had to take turns stopping and in order to get through drive around the barriers to continue. This did help decrease unwanted traffic. My suggestion is this: Make all intersections 3 (three) and 4 (four) way stops. People that live here and are concerned about the speed shouldn't mind. If people are going to have to stop several times it MIGHT send them on down Sunbury or 161. (MIGHT) This would also eliminate the current YEILD signs at some of the side streets. (YEILD means don't even look or slow down to some drivers local or cut through.) |
