I Want to make everyone of an event that occured just after midnight in Whispering Pines on Thursday, Sept 3, 2004.

OUT TO HACK INTO WIRELESS HOME NETWORKS

Yes, the suspects were out trying to spy and hack into wireless networks.

If you have or are considering a wireless network in your home, here's the link to a great artical that is
well worth pointing others towards:

WHAT HAPPENED?

A fairly new red dodge neon with two silver stripes down the hood, roof & and trunk cruised our block stopping at each home.

I confronted the 3 young males who stated they were conducting an study for the university on how secure
or unsecure home networks are. yeah...right....anyway, I took a digital photo of the three of them and said that's for my study to go along
with the license plate I'm doing for the police.

They then began to take off, so I called the the police and began chasing them. I followed them to
Sawmill / 270 but didn't want to endanger anyone and backed off as speeds were very fast already.

The police were unable to find them but did have a number of squad cars in the area within minutes and
cruised our block too.

Overall, the police said there's nothing they can do as the vehicle is registered outside Franklin County
and since no crime was committed unless they stop them
on the spot, they aren't able to go after them any further.

It's sort of like someone checking to see if your front door is locked. If the knob twists and it's left unlocked, so be it...however, they aren't guilty until they push it open and enter.

There are lots of details however, that networks and routers keep so if you feel you've been hacked into, email me or consult a good IT professional as data logs, IP addresses, etc...can be retrieved helping us catch these guys!

Hope the above helps. Let me know if there's anything you need or I can help with. I work in IT and am very
computer literate.
