Upon returning from vacation in November, my wife and I came across a ballot for a vacancy on the B.O.D. for Elk Creek Farms.  Upon examining it, we noticed that my name was on the ballot as a candidate for one of these vacancies.  Unaware of how my name happened to make the ballot, it was too late to vote, and tossed the ballot out.  Not thinking anymore about it, on March 23, 2010, I received a letter from Shew/Davis asking me for my email address and telling me that I won a spot on the B.O.D.  First off,  I did not submit my name as a candidate,  and second, if I did win, why did it take 5 months to be notified?  Is this the way the B.O.D. communicates? or am I just lucky I even got the letter from Shew/Davis? There are several means of communication within this development.  Seveal years ago there was an attempt to put together a development directory, obviously Shew has all the names and address of residences, and then there is this web site.  Its obvious that the B.O.D. has no interest in communication through this site becasue the last meeting minutes that were posted are from 2007.  Before I decide whether I chose to accept this nomination, I would really like to know what exactly the B.O.D. does, when are these meetings, where do they take place?

Jim, did you find any answers to this? From reading your postings, it sounds like you are already doing a great job at doing things for the neighborhood. My main thought is when you looked into the adjacent property sign post.
