LA Geographical Society Three Gorges China 2002 Summer Trip
The PCC Community Education Center Faculty Association is sponsoring a free illustrated public lecture of the Los Angeles Geographical Society's Summer 2002 Three Gorges trip in China. The lecture will be held on Monday, March 3, from 12 noon to 1:30 pm in the PCC CEC "Jack Scott Multi-Purpose Room" (MPR) 126, at 3035 East Foothill Blvd, Pasadena CA 91107.
PCC Geography Prof. Gregory Lee organized and led the trip to selected tributaries of the Yangtze River. The LAGS group was the first foreign group venturing into these remote areas which are now inundated by the waters filling the resevoir behind the new Three Gorges Dam. The LAGS group was among the last to see these remote smaller gorges.
PCC students, staff and faculty (at the main campus and CEC) are welcome to attend, as are interested local area community members. This lecture is also available to Mr. Lee's GEOG 1 students for extra credit.
