I know we don't still have an official civic association, which is sad.  However, I would like to have a yard sale again this year - during the weekend of Friday, June 14 and Saturday, June 15.  I would be willing to put flyers on the neighbors mailboxes to try to make it a neighborhood sale.   How was the advertising done in the past?  Did the association pay for it, or were free sites used?  Would someone be willing to do the advertising part if I do the flyers?

That weekend sounds fine to me.  That's around when we usually would have our neighborhood sale anyway.  I normally post it on our website calendar and mark it to be viewed citywide so we get the free advertisement.  The Monday before the sale I normally put signs at both entrances so all the cars travelling on Obetz Road know about the sale.  I have the old signs that we can reuse for the entrances.  I also put a note in the discussion area for those checking the website.  To get the word out we do need flyers to the homeowners so they can have time to prepare, preferably sometime in May.  I don't put an ad in the paper anymore because of the cost.   Let me know if that works for you.  Also, if anyone else has any ideas, comments or would like to help let us know.

Sounds great to me.  I'll get an early flyer out early (maybe 3-4 weeks ahead) to give people a chance to get ready, and then take another one around a week or so before.  I'm looking forward to cleaning out my basement!

I'm in for that date too. Since we are at entrance we try to do it every year.   I can make as many signs as needed for the enterances if you want new ones or need to change things on the old ones. I have the vinyl to cover over old dates etc.   Email me for that and if you bring me signs I'll get them out in time.  As for the flyers let me know  about those too.  I'll walk with and pass out ok thanks P:)
