Often the Concerned Homeowners Association receives request for services from residents who only attend the meetings at which they make their request and subsequent meetings when a resolution of the issue is pursued, rather than supporting the overall efforts of the Association to stabilize and improve our community. It has been suggested that there be a qualifying standard imposed before the Association would undertake the effort necessary to seek resolution of a resident?’s complaint. One possible qualifying standard might be that the requestor have attended three of the four meetings prior to the request being made. What is your opinion? Should residents demonstrate active participation in the Association before the Association expends the effort necessary to resolve that resident?’s complaint?
