Oral historians are needed by the Tempe Historical Museum to gather oral histories from long time Tempe residents that have been a part of Tempe's history that have seen Tempe evolve from a small agricultural town to a modern urban oasis.
Remember when the city limit was 13th street? How about the airport on Broadway? What about swimming at Tempe Beach Pool? When Baseline was out of town? Before Tempe was landlocked? Once these people are gone so are their stories.

Training is (painless) and provided by the Curator of History at the Tempe Historical Museum, James Burns. It takes about 90 minutes for the training and well worth the time.( I have done it , so can you) A set of questions is established and background material is available.

Please consider volunteering and helping to preserve our communities history.  For more information contact;
