New City Law

After two years and a series of public meetings, the City Council has adopted two new laws that affect the parking and storage of Recreational Vehicles in the City of Orange.

Parking RVs on the Streets - this law became effective on May 13, 2004 and provides that:

> RV?’s may be parked on the street in front of the RV owner?’s home for no more than two consecutive days for the purpose of loading or unloading only.

> A visiting non-city resident may park in front of a residence for up to 7 days with permission of the homeowner and with a permit issued by the Police Department.

> A total of 6 permits may be granted throughout the year for any single address.

> Violations of this law will prohibit the issuance of any further permits for that address for the remainder of the year.

> Additionally, please note that existing law prohibits the parking of non-motorized vehicles such as trailers when detached from the towing vehicle.

> Questions regarding this new law (Ordinance No. 10-04) should be directed to the Orange Police Department ?– Sgt. Jeff Burton at 714-744-7469.
