TEEN NIGHT SWIMS:
Thanks to Jerry & Laura Hancock, Sandy Kleinhenz and Missy Pfaadt for their help with the June 20th teen night.

Next scheduled teen night: Friday, July 12th 9-11pm.

ADAULT LUAU PARTY
Get ready! Saturday July 26th, 7:00-12:00. With sufficient time, we have organized some real entertainment!! Games, swimming and diving events, limbo contest, and wet tee shirt contest (not)?? RSVP Jeff Grove @ 244-5172 by July 24th. Please bring a dish to pass: A-H vegetable dish, I-N salad,, O-Z dessert. BYOB, a meat dish will be provided.

JULY 4th PARADE & COOKOUT A SUCCESS!!

CONGATULATIONS MEREDITH CARRITHERS

Copperfield/Markleham Way resident and two-time ALL AMERICAN Softball catcher Meredith Carrithers for the third year in a row was named ALL-CONFERENCE (NCAA Heartland). Meredith is a junior at Transylvania University in Lexington. This year she broke the school record both for career homeruns (21) and season homeruns (10), including 4 homerun hits in a double-header. As Transy's Offensive player of the Year, she battered .325 leading the team with 37 RBIs and a slugging percentage of .625.

Future softball players consider signing up with Middletown Recreation Association (MRA) this spring. It is a great "rec" league and an opportunity to learn the game!

COPPERFIELD GOLF SCRAMBLE

Don't forget to sign up with Jamey Ramsey (254-5440). Saturday September 27th at the Long Run Golf Course. We have room for 36 "golfers". There will be a shot gun start at 3:00 pm.

Just a reminder to please trim back all low hanging branches and bushes that hang across your side walks.

POOL OPERATION HOURS EXTENDED

Typically the pool has closed for good on Labor Day weekend. However, this year the pool will be opened for two weekends after Labor Day, September 6th & 7th and September 13th & 14th. YEAH!!!!

FAMILY CAMPOUT DATE SET - SEPT. 6th

For those of you who love the smell of a good old canvas tent get ready for the Copperfield Family Campout scheduled for Saturday September 6th in conjunction with the pool staying open until 9:00 pm. As a special treat this year, we will be showing a family movie in the great outdoors starting at 9:00 pm. Even if you don't camp, come out and enjoy the movie!!
