Long Time Owner Celebrates 94th Birthday

On April 21st, Robert Swan, Unit 1002 celebrated his 94th birthday with his wife Ruby. Their daughter, Sandra Westin, held a party at a restaurant near her home in Palo Alto, Ca; it was attended by 14 friends and family members, including a "surprise" guest, their dear friend Jack Cave pictured third from left, who lives in Las Palmas Tower.
It has indeed been a busy spring for Bob and Ruby, since they also celebrated their 72nd Wedding Anniversary on March 24th! They met in 1928 when Ruby, 18 the time was introduced to 20 year old Bob by their boss. They eloped the following year and kept their marriage a secret from everyone; 3 months later they found an apartment and Ruby moved out from her parent's house. It was no longer a secret! Please join the other residents and staff in congratulating both Bob & Ruby. "Many Happy Returns for both Occasions."
