Cabrillo Pool Update!

No Special Assessment This Year!
In last quarter's newsletter it was reported that pool modifications were hopefully scheduled to be completed before the Summer Season. Well things haven't worked out quite as planned. The preliminary bids that have come in were way out of the ballpark to the tune of about $973,000.00. The L&R Committee wants to keep that number at or below $700,000.00.
At the May L&R Committee meeting, a $22,000.00 expenditure was approved to obtain the engineering specifications so the project could be sent out to get bids from other contractors. The bottom line is that the Cabrillo pool will not be available for the summer season. This also means that the Special Assessment required for this project will be delayed until next year. In the interim the pool located next to Roeder Pavilion has been designated a family pool. Barbeque grills have been moved to that location for your outdoor cooking and dining pleasure.
