Lobby Refurbishment

On May 24th, the Interior Designer (Ms. Linda Kaufman & Associates) retained by the Association, presented their design concept and proposed budget for the refurbishment of the lobby to the Board of Directors. In general, the overall concept was well received and Ms. Kaufman offered some options. The price tag however, was more than expected. After considerable discussion the Board decided to go forward with the plan and authorized expenditure of $50,000.00 from Reserve Funds to complete it. The lobby refurbishment could begin as soon as next month.
A companion project of upgrading the interior of the elevator cars was also approved by the Board and authorized an additional expenditure of $8,000.00 from Reserve Funds to accomplish this project. Due to high numbers in residence during the summer months and the resulting elevator usage, this project will most likely start in September.
