The Great American Clean Up Day in April was a success thanks to Corryville residents, volunteers from UC and neighboring communities, not to mention Keep Cincinnati Beautiful, which featured Corryville as a clean up site and referred volunteers. Corryville residents who volunteered were Clara Lytle, Hetty vanKesteren, Liz Wu, Carolyn Robb, her daughters Willa and Lois Robb as well as son Luther Waller. Also volunteering were Kelli Howard of CFRC, Marla Whittenberg, owner of Hammerhead Coffee Cafe on Vine
Street and Cindy Schrader of Cincinnati?’s Department of Economic Development. Special thanks to Jay Ashmore and the other volunteers from UC?’s Sigma Chi. The volunteers picked up over a ton of garbage in the Van Street ?“hole?”, as well as along University and Euclid Avenues. Thanks everyone who helped out!
