How important is it to the Westside that schools be of top quality? Maybe they are top quality in teaching, but the test scores don't show. What can be done to bring up the test scores?

upping test scores
I think that the tests are administered unfairly. If a child is 9years old, and has been studying English for one year, that child should be given a first year English test, not a fourth year test, as is done. If a child is 14, and has been in English one year, that child should also take a first year test. Try giving a fourth year languge test to a college student after being in a foreign language class for one year. I believe you would see test scores being above average if they were administered this way. |
