Many RHCA members have asked ...Why in this month's news letter most of what is in the "What's Going on in the Community?" section is about Roseland.
We are now in the 6th Ward. But in three years (2015) we will be part of the 9th ward (Roseland). We need to know what is happening in our new ward, even before we arrive!
What's Happening in Roseland
Economic Development is very important to our property values.– the city & Alderman Beale worked closely with several companies to determine ways to make Roseland even more competitive with its economic development initiatives. An upcoming addition to the area is Wal-mart, slated to open this year. That same mall will feature a Ross (sells brand name men’s, women’s, children’s clothes as well handbags, wallets, shoe care items and socks) & World Fittness, unique to this area. Owners indicated that one of the reasons they chose Roseland is there was a need and a good place to-market their product.
Other New Retail Store/fast food are Aldi's an McDonalds (103rd Street) – The stores brings new jobs to the area and plans to expand Roseland Hospital the areas leading provider of healthcare services that will consist of locally managed facilities and will employ many people in the area..
Effective Communications you may want to talk about this more at this month's meeting. I will ask if a person from the 9th Ward office can attend to help with answers to any questions you may have. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions March 27, 2012 7:00 pm. Temple of Glory. and provide input on Roseland Heights initiatives.
