A white male approx 5ft 10in in his mid twenties medium build and clean cut approached her front door and knocked ,she looked out of the peephole and did not recognize him so she did not answer the door. He rang the doorbell a couple of times and knocked again before he walked away. She assumed he was a roofer/construction type going around the neighborhood to solicit business due to the storms. As soon as he turned the corner a black male slightly shorter and built huskier also in his mid twenties wearing a doo rag on his head, tank top and basketball shorts approached the door and started kicking it in. She was still at the door and when he broke it open she screamed and they both took off. Unaware if they went in the backyard or to the side of the house she got to her phone and dialed 911 it took a hour for the police to show up. She did say that the black male had one of his hands wrapped in the bottom of his shirt but not sure if he had a weapon or not. No description of their vehicle was available. There were tree trimmers across the street and they did not see any of this. She called Hefner Div today and spoke to a captain regarding response time. He is going to check into it and get back to her. I have also emailed Charles Epperly to find out why it took so long. It was during shift change but that is not an excuse!!! Her call was high priority!!!! Please be careful opening your doors to anyone you do not know. She was blessed that nothing happened to her!!
Remember to keep your eyes open and check on your neighbors. If you see anything strange or out of the ordinary call 911. If you see these two guys in the neighborhood call 911. Stay safe and do not approach these people.
Always feel free to email me or call me regarding anything going on in the neighborhood including lost pets!!
