He May be Busy
BBW may be busy getting ready for Wednesday's re-hearing (hee hee).
I to am hoping BBW will come back because he/she has clarified some things for me. And I am glad to have BC, Oliver, and other opposers here. I really DO like to hear opposing points of view ... it helps me think things through more objectively. And I DO want to be objective. We CVELGs talk so much amoungst ourselves we can loose site of what others think or how differently some things can be perceived. We really do need to hear all input to keep our feet on the ground.

Unfortunately, I have the same question; now that you bring it up. Since BBW has not responded to the COPS question I gave him; what other point can be used to gain "SHOCK REACTION" from an entire state; hitting the pocket book is really hitting home. And it is a valid argument; even though it is not true.
You see, since the advisory question vote in 96; BF has had three opportunities to put a question on the ballot for tax increases to support the county measure; 97, 98, 99. We have never been asked for a tax increase for this purpose; either short-term (say3-5 years) or permanent. This was a strong CBLG platform--NO MORE TAXES.
It has always astounded me that the state voters never saw the true issue here; not better for the residents; better for the government. Must be because all of us live in one county and one city.
