The Cranbrook Village Association #6 Annual Block Party is back! It will be Saturday, August 24th in the street in front of 30256 Spring River. This will be an afternoon and evening you don't want to miss. Come celebrate the great neighborhood in which we live

Fun for the Whole Family!

We'll have children's activities, a social hour, dinner, Salsa dancing and bonfire-chitchat-singing into the night.

Activities for children will begin at 4:30 p.m. Plans are still being made for the children activities. If you have any ideas, just contact Quintin Sweat at 644-3491.

The rest of the schedule looks like this:
5:00pm ~ Set up barbeques, potluck food tables and individual tables and chairs.

5:30-6:30pm ~ Barbeque lighting and social hour with appetizers and beverages.

6:30pm ~ Grilling of meat, fish, whatever you bring.

7:30 - 8:30 ~ The Salsa dance group, Energetic Soul, will deomonstrate and teach young and old alike everything you ever wanted to know about salsa dancing...and in the hour they're here, they'll have you up and dancing with them or each other!

9pm ~ Bonfire-chitchat-singing until the last one leaves.

The subdivision provides: mustard and ketchup, ice, paper plates, napkins, cups, and eating utensils.

Each neighbor brings:
-main course to grill: meat, fish, etc.
-buns, if needed,
-your own beverages, and
-a dish to share with 15 people:
Family last names beginning "A" thru "M", bring an appetizer or salad.
Family last names beginning with "N" thru "Z", please bring a dessert.

Everyone is responsible for bringing their own table and chairs.

**Street will be blocked off from the beginning of children's activities thru the evening.

If the party is a total rain-out, festivities will move to Sunday, August 25th, with each event beginning an hour earlier than listed above.

Help Needed!

It would be nice to have gift certificates or prizes from local businesses for door prizes. Call Laurie 593-9153 if you have either.
