TFMV increased 21% (from 41 to 52); primarily Thursday and Friday between 6PM and midnight.

In previous years there were 13-14 detectives in District 3, now there are 5.
DPD is working with City Council on a new auto theft ordinance.
District 3 officers spend 81.67% of their patrol time on Colfax.

Recent Scams:
Diversions: Two or more people knock on your door. One claims to need your help which requires you to leave the entrance-way. While you are away helping this person, the other enters your home and burglarizes it.
Utility Inspections: Person claims to be an inspector requests to view your meter, furnace or fuse box. This “inspector” tells your that you are breaking a number of regulations and your utilities will be cut off if you don’t repair it within 24 hours. The “inspector” just happens to have a friend who can do the job…
Drive-By Repairs: tree-trimming, alley repair, roof and driveway repairs; door-to-door solicitations by people with out-of-state license plates
