And why, why, WHY would he identify himself to me, my wife my son, his friends,... as a member of COPS!!!???!!! Now that I know one man can, without worry, who can I believe? If anybody tries to represent the Citizens on Patrol, I for one will not trust them. Not only has this man been harassing the good folks in the neighborhood, but he is also falsely representing himself as a member of a group working with the Police. Am I the only one who is bothered by this? Also, a man representing a group we are to believe is out there for us, following a woman and small child? And for what, walking her dog? Is his address on the state registry or something?

The RHTA knows the guy, NPO knows the guy, but all responses seem to be in such a nonchalant manor. Again, sounds like trouble to us who aren't in that circle of friends.

RTHA, maybe it is time we had a homeowners association meeting to get some of these issues ironed out.  T

here are several issues just on this board alone that the residence, even those that dont post or read this board need to be aware of.  As summer is upon us and the kids are back on summer break the petty crime is going to go up and we need to all be on the same page and be on the lookout. Now it seems that we also need to be aware and alert of this guys that is claiming to be part of COPS in our neighborhood, if he can and is willing to do that what is stopping someone else from portraying themselves as something they are not.  We need to all come together as a community and get some answers and be aware of what is happening around us.

He IS a COPS member. He is a valid COPS member. He feels he is doing the community a service by patroling the area and reporting ATVs. He just is not on the team that Melissa coordinates with RTHA. He works directly with Sgt. Choyce.

If you have a problem with this individual, please contact Sgt. Choyce. If you don't feel like you get a fair response from Sgt. Choyce, please call his supervisor, Captain Sudan at 392-4800.

RTHA has a neighborhood wide meeting scheduled for August. We have sent the crime update in a recent email to RTHA members. We will also include this informatoin in the newsletter that will go out to the entire neighborhood in July.
