Neighborhood Crime

Neighbors:

We wanted to make you aware of some recent vandalism & theft that has occurred within our neighborhood. Sometime on or before Wednesday, June 25th (Tuesday Night and/or Wednesday before dawn) there were 2 vehicles & 2 mailboxes that were defaced with permanent black marker and another vehicle that had a laptop stolen out of it. Police reports have been filed for each of these incidents.

While we are on the subject of vandalism, it should be also noted that over time a number of the spindles on the park gazebo have been kicked out and will need to be replaced and stained. Please keep in mind that this is HOA property which makes it your property, and therefore it is in everyone's best interest to monitor what actions and activities are taking place within the neighborhood both by their own children and any visitors. On a more general note, if you see or suspect any suspicious behavior, please report it. In addition, we would like to ask all parents' cooperation in monitoring their children's activity/behavior at the park or wherever they are in the neighborhood to ensure that we maintain a clean and safe environment for everyone.

Again, if you have heard or witnessed anything regarding these acts of vandalism or discover similar acts of vandalism you are encouraged to contact the Delaware Police Department and the HOA.

We encourage everyone to keep their eyes open and to secure their property (lock cars, house, close garage door....) so that together we can protect each other's property. Summer is the prime time for these types of criminal activity.
