In the last 3 weeks, Colonial Acres is being hit hard by thieves. CyberWatch is reporting theft on Hummingbird, Parkside, Kaye, Sea Isle etc. Please be on the lookout for cars and individuals that do not belong in our neighborhood and call 545-COPS to report suspicious activity.

My street is experiencing an increase in traffic and it is generally people up to no good.

I agree 100% with this posting.  Watchful neighbors are the best crime stoppers !!

We have had a lot of petty crimes in my area that are the works of young punks.

Always be on the lookout for suspicious activity AND now that school is about to start back be sure to watch for school age kids wandering the neighborhoods.

I have noted that a lot of the break-ins have been happening during the early part of the day when I would guess most of us are at work.

A friend of mine had a good suggestion of leaving a battery operated radio with the volume turned all the way up at his house when he leaves in the morning.  He leaves it on talk radio to make it sound like someone may be home.

Orange Zone Neighbor

This is a little bit different...anybody notice an increase in yard vandalism where the perps drive through a corner lot from 1 driveway across the yard and out an opposite driveway?  Spinning their tires and burning off the grass.  This summer at Dee and Colonial, Dee and Marcia and Dee at  Dearing.  Late at night and usually few/no witnesses.  I've lived here 20+ years and this is new and focused in 1 area that I know of.  Maybe going on in other nearby neighborhoods too.  Would be nice to get it to stop and even find the folks responsible.   Ideas?

 A similar occurence has happened around Parkside/Ivey. A car drove up into driveways and down median strips knocking down trash cans. This only has happened once so far, but there seems to be a theft problem now. Below is the Cyberwatch list of crimes occurring around the area lately.
