i noticed today on the NCC Police web site there was a robbery on the corner of glenn rock and woodgreen ct. does RGCA have any more information they should tell the residents. if the police would stop by the park land every hour at night the would catch a lot of criminal activity going on there. instead of being proactive they sit and wait for someone to get mugged or robbed. its a shame we find enough residents to do community watch again. i cant hardly wait to retire and move,i just hope our property values will be there in a few years.

I've requested any information that is available from our community resource officer. If I receive anything I will post that information here. BTW the civic association has finally put together their email list. If you have an email address and would like to be updated when incidents occur please email RGCA@comcast.net to be added to the list. We would need you street address to match to the email address.

I heard back from our New Castle County police contact and received the following information: "On 11/10/08 at around 6:20 pm, patrol officers were dispatched to the Radnor Green Park for a robbery that just occurred. Upon arrival, contact was made with the four victims. The four of them were sitting in the park and were approached by three suspects. The first suspect was described as wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled tight around his face so they could not see him. He was approximately 5'08" with a medium build. The second was a light skinned black male wearing a tan or gray hooded sweatshirt. He was approximately six feet tall and skinny. The third was also a light skinned black male wearing a beige hooded sweatshirt. He was approximately 5'05" -5'06" with a heavy build. No weapon was seen, however one was implied. Thank you for making us aware of this incident so we could follow up and get additional details.

thanks for finding out. my wife and i walk down there in the evening and sometimes after dark, its getting real scary down there when cars from Pa. with little hoodlums sitting in them smoking ,crack ,pot ,drinking and throwing their trash out of the windows. the police need to come there on a regular routine.its sad to say but this neighborhood is going to be like Chesterfaster than i thought possible. people leave the cities to get away from the crime there but apparently they bring their criminals with them. |
