Hello Neighbors!

Update for today 2/23 -

At some point last night, someone broke into the bowling alley and stole the change machine, parts are tossed throughout the neighborhood - I ran into TPD this morning who's investigating and they informed of what had taken place.

On the police updates I received this morning -

S23 S/A Individual, 2/21 ...09-108789 724 W. 109th Avenue, Grid 10. Four to five unknown W/M suspects approached the victim while he was playing basketball on the basketball court and asked him for a cigarette then jumped him and beat him while taking his sneakers, cell phone and jewelry. Kyle Maxey was arrested and a pickup was placed for his brother Nathan. Nathan was arrested laterin the night by SAC.

One of our neighbors witnesses two teenagers (one was a male w/pink and orange hair) going door to door, laughing, repeatedly knocking, smoking cigarettes - our neighbor called the police who came five minutes later but were unable to find them. We checked the vacant houses on this block but all seemed secure. Please, pease keep your eyes open and don't hesitate to call the Tampa Police non emergency number 813 231 6130 if you see ANY suspicious activity at all. The ONLY way we're going to keep this garbage off of our front porches is if we're all aware, keep our eyes open and don't hesitate to call the police - it's better to be safe than sorry!

Thanks for the heads up -- I saw these kids with the colored hair; one of my neighbors told me they were selling magazine subscriptions. She also called the police, but TPD arrived in less than 10 minutes and couldn't locate them. Makes you wonder how they disappear so fast. But that's OK--the more TPD is called to investigate, the more patrols they will send out. The more the bad guys see TPD circling around, the more they know the residents are watching out for ourselves and that we won't hesitate to call for police, and they will eventually take their "business" elsewhere. The sooner the better!!
