Here's the scoop.

House on corner of Thames and San Joaquin had window next to door broken during attempted break-in.  Apparently barking dog scared off criminals.  Police caught burglars at about same time over on Creede, they think the two are related.

None of the neighbors heard the glass break.

Thanks for posting about this; it seems our neighborhood is becoming a scary place to live.  I walk the neighborhood every day after work and have finally noticed increased police patrol w/in the last week...a police car sat over at the school for a long time late Monday afternoon.

I walk by Thames and San Joaquin often, and if it's the house I'm thinking of, I bet those would-be thiefs got the crap scared out of them by that dog...that's a scary dog, even from the other side of the fence!  Glad to know he did his job :)
