We gotta really keep an eye folks! This is from today's morning report:

S-25 09-177300- Attempt Burglary- 901 Linebaugh Avenue West- Forest Hills Grocery- Zone C9 and Grid 9. Occurred between 0300-0400

hours. An unknown suspect(s) hammered at the door knob of the listed business, however, were unable to gain entry. Feces was located at the

scene.

S-25 09-177635- Burglary (Commercial)- 125 Linebaugh Avenue West- Farm Store- Zone C9 and Grid 10. Occurred between 0200-0300

hours. Offense was captured on surveillance video. Three W/M subjects are observed reaching through a rotating service window and

removing several empty cigarette cartons then attempting to break the store windows with a large rock. DLIS2 was advised and Det. Buchanan

responded to the scene and was updated on all pertinent information on both this offense as well as the offense at 901 Linebaugh Avenue

Thanks for this crime news update. I was searching for anything on 'crimewatch' but only found a link for 'Crime' on the right side-bar. I'm intersted in getting together some residents to meet and discuss forming a crimewatch group. If only to call one another when suspicious activity is seen. Anything will be better than nothing as crime never stops.

Where is Bella Vista? I'm not familiar with that area. If you're interested in forming a crime watch group, you can contact your community liason officer through your local police department, they'll know if there's already one in place, who the contact is and how to get you in touch w/them. If there isnt' one, you can start one up through your liason officer. My crime watch reports come from our police department.. they email them daily to the neighborhood watch leaders, anything pertaining to our particular grid or another grid that borders ours, I post it so that our neighborhood is aware of what's going on around us. You're right, crime doesn't stop.. but we sure can try to slow it down! Let me know if I can help you.
