Nov. 9th - Orwin Manor/Beverly Shores Suspicious Activity
Orwin Manor resident, Joan, reported that a young woman knocked loudly on the kitchen door, rather than ring the bell or knock on the front door. She described the young woman as being in her early 20's, dyed black chin-length hair with bangs, tall (5'8" or 5'9"), slender, wearing a blue & white top and slacks or jeans.
The girl said her name was Sarah and that she was a neighbor (claimed to live on Nottingham) attending UF. She alleged that she was sellling children's books for a trip to England and that that was her last day to collect money. She only had one copy of the brochure she handed to the homeowner and wouldn't leave it with her. Shortly after the girl left Joan saw a red Honda or Hyundai SUV parked on Westchester, a woman was waiting inside with the motor running. The incident was reported to OPD.
