I'm sorry to hear about that. I had someone go through my car about a month ago when I accidently left it unlocked. St Pete has a lot of theft-from-vehicles all over the city.  I suppose the people who steal from cars would not hesitate to take bicycle if it was available too.  We installed a 5 camera surveilance system so we can monitor how often people walk by at night and check car doors and hopefully get identifying information too.
