I was not surprised to see that it passed. Though I was surprised at the number of seemingly educated and intelligent citizens who voted Yes.
The economics of the proposal did not add up to a good deal for the city in my calculations.
For me it boiled down to too low a share of direct revenue for 50% of the cost. If you pay 50% of the cost, you should get 50% of the revenue.
