An Island Restaurant Opens

With a varied menu featuring local seafood, Cudjoe Landing opened August 1st on the site formerly occupied by Raimondo's Italian restaurant. It is located on the corner of Drost Drive and Hamilton Ave. The telephone number is still 745-9999.
The new restaurant serves dinner from 6 until 10 p.m. weekdays, and until 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. It is closed on Mondays.
Plans for the future include holding a happy hour, obtaining a full liquor license, serving lunch during the winter and spring, and improving the landscaping.
The new owners are Jim Short and David Wentz. Both have extensive experience in the tropical restaurant business. While David Wentz is a newcomer to the Keys, Jim Short has worked at Margaritaville in Key West for several years.
